Founder & Clinical Director
Kalpana Ponnusamy, M.A., M.Ed., BCBA
Kalpana Ponnusamy is the Clinical Director of YOU CAN, specialized school in Coimbatore for children with autism and other developmental disabilities. Her passion and dedication to the field of special education led her to establish the center in 2000.
She holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Special Education. Additionally, she is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), having completed her coursework at the Florida Institute of Technology, USA.
With nearly two decades of experience, Kalpana has served in various roles, including guest lecturer, counselor, special educator, and behavior analyst. Her extensive expertise continues to make a profound impact in the field of special education.
Mrs. Kalpana is also a certified Behaviour Analyst, Special Educator, Advanced NLP trainer and a Psychologist.
With these skills she addresses personal underlying issues that stops you from working with your child, feeling of guilt or anxiety or stress that together occurs among almost every family with special needs children. Hence this training will holistically help you to really really reach out to your child.
Head of ABA Services
Aathmika Krishna Prasad, M.Sc., R.B.T., (QASP-S)
Aathmika is the Head of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Services at YOU CAN. She is a Qualified Autism Service Practitioner – Supervisor (QASP-S), an Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) practitioner, and a Clinical Psychologist.
She is a certified Behavior Technician and has provided behavior-analytic services in various intervention settings. Her expertise includes working with cases requiring frequent crisis intervention to manage and reduce extreme challenging behaviors while fostering socio-emotional regulation skills. This enables children to better integrate into their environments.
Passionate about supporting children, Aathmika focuses on skill building, social interactions, and behavior reduction goals. She actively contributes to the implementation and dissemination of ABA services, training therapists and families of children with developmental disabilities.
